New 'Fruitful Bough' Under Construction

Fruitful Bough Fishing Company, one of the companies in which Denholm Fishselling has invested, has signed a contract with Whitby-based ship-builder Parkol Marine for a 22.6 metre, steel-built, twin-rigged trawler.

The new build will replace the 20 metre ‘MFV Fruitful Bough’ that was built in 2004.  Delivery is scheduled for the summer of 2019 and a sale contract for the old boat has already been signed.

‘Fruitful Bough’ fishes primarily for nephrops (prawns) and operates in the North Sea, extending from Shetland down to Scarborough.
