New 'Fruitful Bough' Officially Named at Quayside Ceremony
The official naming ceremony of the new ‘MFV Fruitful Bough’ took place at a quayside service in Peterhead on 1st June. In front of a gathering of 150 guests, a dedication was given by the superintendent of the local Fishermen’s Mission, followed by the traditional breaking of the champagne bottle against the hull of the vessel. The vessel was named by the three daughters of skipper, Robert West.
The vessel was built at the Parkol Marine shipyard in Whitby and sea trials were completed in the first week in May.
