Denholm Fishselling is associated with a number of respected fishing industry organisations in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Northern Ireland Fish Producers’ Organisation (NIFPO) represents the largest percentage of fishermen in Northern Ireland, with members in all the harbours of Northern Ireland.
The Scottish Fishermen’s Organisation (SFO) is the largest fish Producer Organisation (PO) in the UK and one of the biggest in Europe. Its role is to help its members optimise the value of their fisheries' resources throughout the value chain, enabling its fishermen, the wider industry and its coastal communities to achieve a profitable and sustainable future.
The Scottish White Fish Producers Association (SWFPA) is the largest fishing association in Scotland and in Europe, representing around 220 vessels and 1,400 fishermen. It is the political voice of its members, relaying the experiences, concerns and insights of its fishermen to policymakers and other relevant industry figures. This helps facilitate a sustainable fishing sector which works for the environment, for consumers, and for the fishermen.
Peterhead Port Authority operates the UK's most unique all-purpose, all-weather port 24/7/365 days a year. Sales at the state-of-the-art new Peterhead Fish Market, which opened in mid-2018, commence at 7am daily, Monday to Friday. Quality is the watchword at the facility, which holds the gold standard AA rating from the British Retail Consortium.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) works to prevent the loss of life on the coast and at sea. It produces legislation and guidance on maritime matters, and provides certification to seafarers. MCA is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department for Transport.
